Upon publishing Falls, Brawls and Town Halls I planned to eventually list every found wrestling event in Northern Ireland from the period the book chronicles, which is 1932 to 2002.
However I greatly underestimated the time and effort it would take to do this.
So this is the first batch, covering 27 years of Irish wrestling cards – North *and* South, yes I went one step beyond and have included all found listings for the whole island of Ireland.
Thankfully the 1930s shouldn’t be too bad, and the 1940s might just be OK, but the 1950s and 1990s will be very time and effort consuming, so might be a while before they’re complete…
Until then please find listings from 1962 (when Darkie Arnott brings local level wrestling back to Northern Ireland) to 1989 (one year after wrestling has been removed from ITV).
